Kathie Madonna Swift, MS, RD, LDN, is a leading educator, innovator and practitioner in the field of integrative nutrition. She has been the curriculum consultant and co-designer of Food As Medicine since the programs founding in 2001. She is co- author with Gerard Mullin, MD, of The Inside Tract: Your Good Gut Guide to Great Digestive Health.

Kathie is the Chief Nutrition Advisor for www.myfoodmyhealth.com, an online program that provides customized meal plans for individuals with various health conditions, and author of www.myfoundationdiet.com, a gluten and dairy free elimination food plan.  She is a teacher of healthy living programs at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and the Senior Nutrition Advisor for the Optimal Health and Prevention Research Foundation in San Diego, California.

Kathie spearheaded the pioneering functional medicine program at Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires, where she served as Nutrition Director for more than a decade and created the “Nutritional Intelligence” dietary guidelines which were presented at the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy. Kathie helped Mark Hyman, MD establish the UltraWellness Center, where she was the Nutrition Director for three years and continues to consult.

Kathie is on the faculty at Saybrook University’s graduate program in Mind Body Medicine, and is a curriculum design consultant for Tai Sophia Institute’s new MS in Nutrition & Integrative Health.
