Gjorgji (Goce) Nikoloski, MD On spring of 1999 when Macedonia has got over 200.000 Albanian refugees from Kosovo, he was pleased to meet with Dr. Jim Gordon and set up collaboration between Mind Body Center from Washington D.C. and his local NGO, Center for Psychosocial Support and Mental Health Care from Skopje-Macedonia, which was established in 1998. A series of two training-workshops were organized in summer of 1999, by his local NGO and himself, conducted by Center for Mind Body medicine with its faculties, for Albanian refugees – medical professionals in Ohrid – Macedonia. Later on, in 2001 he was working for Doctors of the World from New York as mental health expert on project of Deinstitutionalization of Orphan Children from Psychiatric hospital in Kosovo and building up Community centers for both, Albanians and Serbians. At that time he has got involved at the beginning of the Kosovo – project of Mind Body Center. He was responsible to organize training –workshop for medical professionals, Serbs in Kosovo in Gracanica. For that Workshop he was honored to be one of the faculty members with the Center for Mind Body Medicine. At that time he was able to meet and to work together with his colleagues from Kosovo, with whom he has worked in Ohrid-Macedonia 2 years ago. As part of collaboration between Center for Mind Body Medicine and his Center for Psychosocial Support and Mental Health Care from Skopje- Macedonia, in Fall of 2001 was organized a workshop–training in Macedonia. On that workshop took attendance all Care providers from all nationalities in Macedonia, belonging to numerous International and local NGOs, conducted by Jim Gordon and Gjorgji Nikoloski. That training took continuation with one more workshop in spring of 2002, conducted by Gjorgji Nikoloski. At the end of 1999 he has moved with his family to Canada. In 2002 he has got a job with Community Mental Health Clinic in Guelph – Ontario as mental health professional, dealing with children 6-18 with their mental health issues. He found out as a very helpful utilizing of mind body techniques in his every day work, to children with mental health problems. As well as, he has self-practiced mind-body techniques and supported himself and his family to survive all transitional stressors they have been challenged with in their life in “immigration”.
