Continuing Education Credits

Continuing Education Credits have been received in the past for the Mind-Body Medicine Training Program for the following professions:

Physicians This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the University of Minnesota and the Center for Mind-Body Medicine. The University of Minnesota is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Minnesota designates this educational activity for a maximum of 30 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (to be confirmed upon review of final schedule). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Osteopaths (The American Osteopathic Association - Category 2-A)

Registered Nurses Please check with your state Board of Nursing - most states accept the approval for physicians and/or nurse practitioners

Social Workers (National Association of Social Workers) This program is approved by the National Association of Social Workers (provider #886394781) for 30.75 continuing education contact hours.

Marriage and Family Therapists and Social Workers in California (California Board of Behavioral Sciences)  

Psychologists (Minnesota Board of Psychology, applicable to most states)

Nurse Practitioners (American Academy of Nurse Practitioners)

Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP)

Counselors (American Counseling Association which is approved by the National Board of Certified Counselors)

Acupuncturists (NCCAOM) This training has been approved by National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) for 30.75 PDA points. ACHB # 592-002.

Other professionals may be able to independently obtain continuing education credits by submitting the schedule to their accrediting body.
